Pilot Careers Live in Manchester gave OAT the opportunity to launch our new and enhanced EXPEDITE Airline Pilot Career Programme - designed specifically to take MODULAR trainees from PPL to competent readiness for airline recruitment.
A unique feature of EXPEDITE is our new COMPETENCY ASSURANCE initiative which is included as standard. OAT Competency Assurance
supports the ICAO and core industry principles of Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA).

In simple terms - if a trainee requires any additional training (in either an MEP aircraft or simulator) to achieve Core Competence, it's provided by OAT free of charge. If in the unlikely event that a UK CAA Skills Test is needed to be re-flown, the aircraft is provided by OAT free of charge.
Competency Assurance doesn't stop at single-pilot MEP training. 40-hours of Multi-Pilot APS MCC training (A320 or B737NG) is also included within EXPEDITE which concludes with an Assessment of Competence.
If a trainee needs additional training throughout the APS MCC course to achieve Core Competence, this training is also proved by OAT free of charge. Furthermore, all simulator and interview training sessions post-APS MCC (initial and repeat) prior to any airline assessments are also provided by OAT free of charge irrespective of either A320 or B737NG type. This support is provided until an airline offer is achieved.
Professional Pilot training is one of the most significant career investments a person can make. Most often, the risk and associated costs of achieving competence sits entirely with the trainee even though a trainee has paid the ATO for the required expertise to enable them to become competent. At OAT we believe that pilot training is a partnership and a shared responsibility with our customers.
Our EXPEDITE programme trains and assesses against the 10 Core pilot competencies airlines recruiters seek from their pilots. To this end, OAT underwrites our trainee pilot enrolments on EXPEDITE with Competency Assurance. Our role isn't just to train to regulatory minima, it's also to set and achieve the required standards for entry into airline service.
From PPL to 'frozen' ATPL in 16–18 weeks at the highly-capable London Oxford Airport. EXPEDITE is an all-inclusive Advanced Airline Pilot Career Programme - training, landings, approaches, initial UK CAA Skills Test fees, Competency Assurance and airline assessment preparation as the core standard.
