OAT launches its inaugural EXPEDITE Airline Career Programme

As the saying goes, "the sun shines on the righteous" — and this week it shone brightly as James Todd became the very first trainee to begin Oxford Airline Training's EXPEDITE Airline Career Programme, our inaugural EXPEDITE course.

EXPEDITE is an intensive 18-week, 125-hour, full-time programme built to take modular trainees right up to the door of airline employment. It brings together every Advanced phase a graduate needs under one roof: Advanced Multi-Engine Piston (MEP), Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR), Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Licence (MECPL), Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (AUPRT), Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC) and our dedicated Airline Preparation modules — all designed to better prepare modular trainees for airline assessment, employment and Type Rating.

Under the punctilious instruction of Callum Johnson and Peter Shaw, James got off to a rip-roaring start with his MEP Class Rating in the DA42 — flown, very aptly, under the callsign G-OATA. Sister ship G-OATB sat alongside, looking suitably envious.

We heartily congratulate James, and the entire OAT team whose work made it possible for EXPEDITE to launch with such positive energy and exactly to plan.

There's an extra layer to celebrate, too: James isn't only our first EXPEDITE trainee on our first EXPEDITE course — he's arrived just as OAT completes its first full year of trading. A milestone like that demands coffee and cake… or, given the heat, ice-cold Coke and cake.

If you're looking for a genuinely expeditious modular route to airline career readiness, EXPEDITE could be the programme for you. Explore the EXPEDITE programme →
