Draken VIP Visit Caps a Busy August at Oxford Airline Training

As August drew to a close, Oxford Airline Training was delighted to welcome a VIP visit from the senior training leadership team at Draken, the aviation special missions company.
A Full Day at London Oxford Airport
George, Chris and Dave travelled in from Draken's operational bases at Bournemouth and Teesside to spend the day with us at London Oxford Airport (EGTK). Their visit had a clear purpose: to understand our facilities and training capabilities first-hand.
The team toured our training centre before putting both of our full flight simulators through their paces — test flying the B737NG and the A320.
Career Insights for Our Cadets
Beyond the tour, the Draken team generously briefed our Cadets and staff on the company's specialist services. For graduates looking for a different kind of flying, Draken's operations offer roles well beyond the conventional airline path — in locations around the world.
It was a valuable session for our Cadets, who heard directly from senior industry leaders about the breadth of careers open to newly qualified pilots.
Three VIP Visits in One Month
The Draken visit was a strong close to a busy August, following earlier VIP visits from Loganair and Jet2. Three senior airline and operator teams in a single month reflects the industry's growing engagement with our training and our graduates.
